I saw this Barbie recently at the store, and it just cracked me up: with it’s drawing (!) of Ken in the background, and Barbie sitting there alone, as if she’s fantasizing she’s on a real date. Too real-life-to-be-funny (sort of).
It’s amazing that even as a married woman I often feel like this Barbie looks! Trust me – marriage doesn’t guarantee that I always have a date. I take it upon myself to go out on my own when no one is available.
oh, wow. I’m so glad you said that. I mean, it’s depressing, but enlightening. I have this book called “Lady in Waiting” about being a Christian woman and trying to be happy while single, and they talk about how a married woman’s life isn’t always enviable. Whoever made up that cliche about the grass always been greener is a genius…
